Dwyane Wade Will Return To The Miami Heat For Final Season
In an emotional video, Dwyane Wade made his toughest decision yet and decided to return to the Miami Heat for one final season. In the 10-minute video, the 36-year old athlete talked about his relationship with the NBA and basketball, detailing his journey to mega-stardom.
The three-time champion took his time making this decision, sorting through personal and family business. Wade stated his family put his career first and questioned if it was selfish to " be away from his family for so long." According to ESPN, Wade spent the majority of the past four months weighing his options and it wasn't until a few days ago that he decided to commit himself to his sixteenth and final season.
A tearful Wade stumbled over his words, struggling to keep his composure as he asked fans to join him for "one last season" while urging fans to enjoy their final moments together. Wade insinuated that after this final season his relationship with basketball would not end, saying, "there are things in this game that I have, that I could write a book on, that I could still do, that I could still accomplish." His speech gave fans hope that Dwyane Wade will return to basketball in some capacity.
