J. Cole’s Dreamville Festival Has Been Rescheduled

News

Rejoice, Dreamville. After being canceled in light of Hurricane Florence, the first-ever Dreamville Festival has been rescheduled to take place in April 2019.

The new date was announced on the official Dreamville Fest socials, where fans were surprised with the good news.

“We battled with the idea of moving forward with the festival at this time or formally canceling the event. After receiving unwavering support from our fans and the community, we are excited to announce Dreamville Festival will now take place April 6th, 2019″ wrote the press release. “We are proud to say that Dreamville Fest this spring will also serve as a benefit to hurricane victims in the Carolinas. We hope that fans in North Carolina and across the world will not only join in celebrating the very first Dreamville Festival, but also the resilience of this amazing community.”

According to Dreamville reps, original tickets will be honored for the new date. Fans who are unable to attend will also have the choice to request a full refund.

Regardless of the new date, the festival will still be hosted in North Carolina’s Dorothy Dix Park. As of now, there are no changes in the original line-up.

The festival will be Dreamville’s second effort in aiding the Carolina’s with hurricane relief. Last week, the Dreamville Foundation announced that they would be offering a hand to hurricane victims in Cole’s hometown, Fayetteville.

Along with requesting donations on their website, the foundation will also provide “hot food stations placed throughout the city, temporary housing options for families, and stocking of food pantries/shelters, as well as supporting other local non-profits who help provide services for the people in Fayetteville.”

Currently, Hurricane Florence has displaced over 19,000 people in North Carolina, 6,400 in South Carolina and 400 in Virginia.
