English Rapper J HUS And Spain’s C. Tangana Remix Caribbean-Trap Infused “Did You See”

Music Premieres

Through puncturing reggae Afro-Caribbean beats, English rapper J Hus and Spain’s own C Tangana have joined forces on their new single, “Did You See.”  With a slew of braggadocious lyrics and clever one-liners, the duo is on a mission to get a special girl.

Much like most of the popular Latin trap and reggaeton artists making waves in the mainstream like Bad Bunny, Ozuna, and J Balvin, C Tangana has steadily been morphing his sound with English speaking artists.

The Spanish musician hopes that with the merging of the two genres and languages a deeper cultural mix can happen in Europe. “I think this year we are and will see many collaborations like this one,” he writes to VIBE via email. “I’ve been listening to music in English my entire life. For the young Brits, it will be normal to listen to music in Spanish in a year or so, just like the American kids are doing already. It’s a blessing.”

“We are used to mixing cultures in Spain, its a way of life. The Latin music scene is growing so much that it’s morphed into a global movement,” he adds. “Now wherever you go, in any country, you can hear Latin music and rhythm.  🙏🏽 dios bendiga al reggeton dios bendiga a Daddy (Yankee)” ) (God bless reggaeton and Daddy Yankee)”
