Kanye West Announces 'Yandhi' Project Will Drop At End Of Month
First, there was 'Yeezus,' now there's 'Yandhi.'
After posting a cryptic photo on Instagram that looked seemingly like a new version of his 2013 album Yeezus, Kanye West announced via the social media platform that his upcoming musical project Yandhi will drop at the end of the month.
In another photo featuring the album artwork, West revealed the project's release date to be Sept. 29. This will be West's ninth-solo album (if this is indeed a new album), and his second solo-project this year following ye, which was released in June.
This is a year full of new music for the Chicago rapper. Last night, West announced that his collaborative effort with Chance The Rapper, Good Ass Job, will indeed happen. He also produced five albums earlier this year- ye, Pusha T's Daytona, Nas' Nasir, Teyana Taylor's K.T.S.E., and his collab album with Kid Cudi, Kids See Ghost.
Outside of music, Kanye has made headlines for his outlandish remarks, such as implying that slavery was a "choice" and voicing his support for polarizing figure Donald Trump. Despite his harsh take on some touchy topics, fans still appear to be here for new music. As of press time, his Yandhi announcement racked up nearly 330,000 likes, and the number continues to grow as word of the project spreads.
