The hip-hop community let out a collective sigh of relief when Drake brought out Meek Mill during his Boston tour stop. The feud between the two proved to be one of hip-hop’s most unexpected as both the Dreamchaser and OVO quarterbacks were close friends. However, with time the two men let go of the vicious insults they hurled at one another in the name of brotherhood and for the culture.
No one was happier to know Drake and Meek put their past behind them then mutual friend Kevin Hart. The Night School actor is a proud Philly native and has always been vocal and public about his support of Meek. The 39-year-old has also never been shy about his admiration for Drake, so when the two entered into a nasty mudslinging, Hart was stuck in the middle.
According to Hart, he tried to intervene and bring about a reconciliation earlier, but it didn’t work out, so he just stepped away.
“One of the few beefs that I was actually in between,” Hart captioned on Instagram. “I tried my hardest to make this moment happen earlier. I stepped away from it and honestly prayed that these men could see the bigger picture and that picture is that we are stronger together.”
Drake also spoke of how good he felt to finally put his fighting with Meek Mill to rest.
“Healing and moving forward created one of the most electric and gratifying moments of my career. Meek Mill, I’m happy you are home and that we can find our way back to our joint purpose.”
