Nicki Minaj Is The Puppet Master In Colorful ‘Barbie Dreams’ Video

Nicki Minaj keeps it fun in her “Barbie Dreams” visual, the second video for a track from her fourth studio-album Queen.

The Queens MC pulls some strings in the five-minute visual, bringing her animated personality and an array of puppet pals such as Drake, Kanye West and DJ Khaled. Of course, the Head Barb In Charge serves vibrant looks and sex appeal to the Hype Williams-directed clip.

The video comes after a whirlwind weekend for the musician. During Harper’s Bazaar ICONS Party, held on Friday (Sept.7) at the Plaza Hotel, fellow femcee Cardi B alleged that Minaj was favoriting comments about her parenting skills and speaking ill about her daughter Kulture, which resulted in a fight between the Bronx rapper and Minaj’s entourage. Cardi was kicked out of the party.

Nicki spoke on the incident during her Beats1 show, Queen Radio, stating that she was humiliated by the “mortifying experience,” and she denied any wrongdoing.

“It’s so sad for someone to pin that on me because I’m the bad guy and they’re gonna believe them,” she said. “I would never talk about someone’s child or parenting… I just want people to know that Onika Tanya Maraj has never, will never… speak ill on anyone’s child. I am not a clown. That’s clown sh*t.”

At least we have the “Barbie Dreams” visual to keep our spirits up. Watch the video below.
