Nicki Minaj: Cardi B Fashion Week Fight Was ‘Humiliating’

On Monday’s (Sept. 10) episode of Beats1’s Queen Radio, Nicki Minaj discussed her side of the story in regard to the now-infamous altercation between her and Cardi B at New York Fashion Week. The incident, which occurred on Friday (Sep. 7), was something Minaj called “mortifying” and “humiliating.”

“The other night, I was part of something so mortifying and so humiliating to go through in front of a bunch upper echelon… people who have their life together,” she said on her show. “The way they passed by looking at this disgusting commotion. I was mortified.”

During and after the incident, Cardi B alleged that the “Barbie Dreams” rapper spoke ill of her infant daughter, Kulture. The Queens MC said on her show that she would never speak poorly about someone else’s child.

“It’s so sad for someone to pin that on me because I’m the bad guy and they’re gonna believe them,” she continued. “I would never talk about someone’s child or parenting… I just want people to know that Onika Tanya Maraj has never, will never… speak ill on anyone’s child. I am not a clown. That’s clown sh*t.”

Elsewhere on the show, Nicki played a clip of Cardi calling someone’s child a “monkey,” and alleged that the Bronx-bred musician is building her career off of playing the victim.

“You knew that when that footage came out, you was about to look f**king dumb, so your publicist—also looking f**king dumb—they hurried up and put out a statement,” she said. “I’m such a ill-a** b***h I didn’t even feel the need to defend myself that night. I just want everybody to marinate for two minutes…. But we did hear [Cardi] say that nothing’s off limits… because she has built her career off of sympathy and payola.”

Keep it locked to VIBE for more developments in this very messy saga.
