OJ Simpson Believes Bill Cosby Should Be On House Arrest, Not In Prison
“Rapists are frowned upon in prison.”
Many people are giving their two cents on Bill Cosby's prison stint. The disgraced comedian is spending three to 10 years behind bars in a Pennsylvania state prison for an aggravated sexual assault crime against Andrea Constand in 2004. Reports say that he was moved to a maximum security facility, and a psychologist deemed that the 81-year-old is a "sexually violent predator."
O.J. Simpson knows a thing or two about high-profile trials. Last year, the former football star-turned-tabloid magnet was released for good behavior after spending nine years behind bars for armed robbery and theft. He spoke to TMZ about Cosby's sentence, stating he thinks it's better if he's on house arrest.
“Rapists are frowned upon in prison," he told the site's cameraman during a golf outing. “I’m sure there will be guys protecting him but they’re gonna have to put him in protective custody … because it takes one nut, ya know?”
“The problem is the nature of the crime,” he continued. “With his health and his age and the nature of the crime, there’s not a warden in this country wants the responsibility of a Bill Cosby. I think they should let him do his time under house arrest."
Currently, Cosby is awaiting his final prison arraignment. He's being held alone in a cell at the State Correctional Institution Phoenix.
