Rihanna's Hollywood Home Broken Into For The Second Time This Year
These home invasions continue to be a steady stream of bad luck for the "Work" singer.
Rihanna's home in Hollywood Hills, Calif., has been burglarized again.
According to TMZ, police responded to an alarm at the Fenty Beauty creator's home after an alert sounded off late Tuesday evening (Sept. 25). The neighbors reported seeing three possible suspects fleeing the scene in a silver vehicle moments after the alarm was triggered around 10:30 p.m.
LAPD rushed to the scene to investigate the break-in, but it's unclear if the culprits escaped with any valuable items. Police Capt. Cory Palka told KCLA they were notified as the crime was taking place due to sophisticated technology and surveillance systems. A glass door in the back of the home was found smashed. Luckily, the 30-year-old entrepreneur was not home at the time of the invasion.
This is the second time in the past five months that her home has been invaded. In May 2018, Rihanna's mansion was burglarized by a man who broke into the Bajan-born singer's abode with the intention to sleep with her. Eduardo Leon was tried and convicted of stalking, burglary, and vandalism in connection to the incident in May. Fortunately, RiRi was not present.
As details begin to emerge about the break-in, it will become more evident on what might've incited this incident.
On Sept. 20, the Ocean's 8 actor was crowned the “Ambassador Extraordinary And Plenipotentiary” Of Barbados. The R&B singer was tasked with “specific responsibility for promoting education, tourism, and investment for the island.”
