Vivica A. Fox Offers Cardi B Advice Following NYFW Incident
The veteran actress warns Cardi B to protect her peace and her brand.
If there's one thing the internet has an abundance of, its opinions, and if you're a public figure everything you say and do merits even more opinions. Following the incident between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B at a New York Fashion Week event, the internet has been split down the middle with some calling Cardi's actions atrocious, while others saying Nicki's subliminal tactics would sooner or later come to a head.
Vivica A. Fox stopped by Shade 45 Wednesday (Sept. 12) and gave her two cents on the ordeal. The Everyday I'm Hustling author said Cardi B's reaction is the result of a woman having been provoked for too long.
"I just believe that Nicki knows how to push people's buttons and she does it very passive aggressively," the 54-year-old actress said. "And when she does that, it's like, you know, you keep on poking the bear and sooner or later the bear's going to react. When you're poking the bear that's passive-aggressive, and when the bear reacts all of a sudden you retreat."
Fox, however, wasn't totally team Bardi. She said the new mom has made it evident she's reactionary and must now take special care to protect against others getting the best of her.
"Everybody knows Cardi's reactive. C'mon, we've seen that on the reality shows with her. She don't take nothing, she will throw that shoe at you and most of the times it connects...but she's got to make better decisions. She cannot mess up her brand. She cannot allow Nicki to help her mess up her brand."
