Cardi B Gets Candid About Incident With Nicki Minaj
“For a while now she’s been taking a lot of shots at me. I spoke to her twice before, and we came to an understanding. But she kept it going,” said Cardi B.
Cardi B's fight with Nicki Minaj during Harper’s Bazaar’s Icons party last month (Sept. 7) blew a lid off social media, dividing rap fans straight down the middle. Now, in an interview with W Magazine, Cardi B discussed what brought the MCs to blows.
“For a while now she’s been taking a lot of shots at me,” the "On Fleek" rapper said. “I spoke to her twice before, and we came to an understanding. But she kept it going.”
The 25-year-old rapper also accused Minaj of liking then un-liking posts on social media about the "Bodak Yellow" artist being an unfit mother. “I love my daughter. I’m a good-a** f**king mom. So for somebody that don’t have a child to like that comment?" she shared. "So many people want to say that party wasn’t the time or the place, but I’m not going to catch another artist in the grocery store or down the block.”
The Bronx native also discussed surrendering to the NYPD on October 1 due to an alleged fight at a strip club that concerned husband Offset. She stated the circulating rumors of infidelity were fabricated because the newlyweds are in contact "24 hours a day" and that she is always able to find him someway, somehow.
