Donald Trump Blames Mainstream Media For Potential Bombings...And Not Himself
"Mainstream Media must clean up its act, FAST!"
Donald Trump took to social media Thursday (Oct. 25) to assert the reason for the proposed bombs being mailed to leading Democrats is due to the divisive mainstream media.
Shortly after suspicious packages were sent to Robert DiNero's Tribeca home, as well as one intercepted at a Delaware post office intended for former Vice President Joe Biden, Trump took to Twitter to blast the media.
"A very big part of the Anger we see today in our society is caused by the purposely false and inaccurate reporting of the Mainstream Media that I refer to as Fake News," tweeted POTUS. "It has gotten so bad and hateful that it is beyond description. Mainstream Media must clean up its act, FAST!"
Wednesday morning (Oct. 24) suspicious packages were sent to several political officials who've publically spoken against Donald Trump and his administration. Names included Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif) former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama along with former Attorney General Eric Holder and billionaire investor George Soros.
Vice President Mike Pence took to Twitter tweeting "We condemn the attempted attacks on former president Obama and the Clintons, CNN, and others. These cowardly actions are despicable and have no place in this country. Grateful for swift response from the secret service, FBI and local law enforcement. Those responsible will be brought to justice."
The CNN offices were reportedly evacuated after a package was sent to the building, with employees able to gain re-entry later in the afternoon.
Some have alleged the packages are a ploy staged by the left while others think otherwise.
