Donald Trump Blames The Media In Wake Of Synagogue Shooting
Donald Trump took to social media on Monday morning (Oct. 29) to double down on his belief that the media is partly responsible for the anger many Americans feel today.
While the country mourns the deaths of 11 men and women killed inside of the Pittsburgh's Tree of Life Synagogue, the latest mass shooting in the nation, Trump insists it's the media's perpetuation of "fake news" that is adding to the overall frustration.
"There is great anger in our country caused in part by inaccurate, and even fraudulent, reporting of the news. The fake news media, the true enemy of the people must stop the open and obvious hostility and report the news accurately and fairly, That will do much to put out the flame," Trump tweeted.
Saturday morning (Oct. 27), Robert Bowers, 46, entered the synagogue spewing anti-Semitic terms before firing off rounds from an AR-15 assault rifle. It's also reported Bowers had three Glock .357 handguns. Bowers faces 29 criminal charges including 11-hate crimes. Scott Brady, the U.S. attorney for the western district of Pennsylvania is awaiting approval from Attorney General Jeff Sessions to peruse a capital punishment case.
Along with Robert Bowers, Gregory Bush will be tried for shooting and killing two people while inside a Kentucky Kroger grocery store. Bush is white and the victims were both black. Reportedly, Bush attempted to enter a predominately black church before he ventured to the grocery store.
