Eminem Performs "Venom" On Top Of The Empire State Building
Jimmy Kimmel Live! got a very special Kamikaze performance.
Fans have been flocking to theaters to see the Marvel film Venom. Amidst all of the film's hype, rapper Eminem decided to take his song for the movie's album to pretty high heights.
For his performance during Jimmy Kimmel Live! the Kamikaze MC performed the film's titular track atop the Empire State Building in New York City. The eight-minute long performance was shot entirely on a Google Pixel 3. It begins with Em walking into the building, and he begins to rap the song while making his way up to the top.
While performing atop the skyscraper, the building lights up several different shades of red, white and blue as fans record the moment on their phones. A helicopter illuminates the rapper as he spits. Mid-performance, Kimmel's sidekick Guillermo rides with Marshall Mathers in the elevator.
The official music video for "Venom" was released on Oct. 5. The theatrical clip involves Em and several others being infected by some sort of (you guessed it) venomous phenomenon that causes many complications like blurry vision and rapid-fire speech. The song not only serves as the comic book film's title track, fans can also find "Venom" on Eminem's surprise album, Kamikaze.
