Jay Rock Taps Snoop Dogg For “Win” Remix

New Releases

Jay Rock’s “Win” from his most recent project, Redemption (June 15), has received a dope new revamp from hip-hop giant Snoop Dogg.

Uncle Snoop dropped a memorable 16 on the trumpet-heavy track. Following the “King’s Dead” rapper’s untouched bars, the 47-year-old “Drop It Like It’s Hot” MC detailed his success saying: “A ni**a been winning for a long time/With a strong mind and I own mine/You can check my motherf**in’ pedigree/On my chest is the letter C, poetically/So inclined, genuine, suspicious lies/Your bi**h is mine and in due time/You’ll see that I am certified and intertwined.”

Though Snoop’s appearance on this single is the first headlining feature, “Win” is not new to having legends beyond Jay Rock on this melody. The original hosted fellow Top Dawg affiliate, Kendrick Lamar as a hype man and backing vocalist to add an extra dimension.

Most recently (Oct. 25), the TDE labelmates, Lamar and Jay Rock, linked to bring fans the “Wow Freestyle” video from his 13-track album featuring SZA, J. Cole, Future, and Jeremih.
