Katt Williams Arrested In Portland For Alleged Assault

News

Katt Williams is back in jail after accused of misdemeanor assault. The comedian was arrested in Portland, Oregon, on Saturday (Oct. 6).

The details of what led up to the arrest and suspected incident are unclear. According to the arrest records from the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, Williams was booked at 12:00 p.m. local time and is being held on $2,500 bail.

TMZ first reported Williams’ arrest. The comedian was in Portland for a stop on Nick Cannon’s Wild N Out tour. Sources purportedly told the website that MCSO listed Williams as a “fugitive,” and that he could be extradited to Atlanta.

The Ohio native, whose birth name is Micah Williams, has had numerous run-ins with the law throughout his career including “19 felonies” but “no convictions”, as he pointed out last month during a heated interview exchange with Wanda Smith of Atlanta’s V103 radio station.
