Cory Booker And NYC Post Office Are Latest #MAGA Bomber Package Recipients
In the latest news connected to the MAGA Bomber hysteria, a suspicious package addressed to New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker was recovered by police in Florida. Additionally, a similar suspicious package was sent to the NYC Post Office, addressed to former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.
According to the Associated Press, the packaged addressed to Sen. Booker was recovered near or at Opa-locka, Fla., which is a key location investigators are paying attention to in order to track down the serial sender.
"Law enforcement officials told The Associated Press that the devices, containing timers and batteries, were not rigged like booby-trapped package bombs that would explode upon opening," the report reads. "But they were uncertain whether the devices were poorly designed or never intended to cause physical harm."
Earlier this week, packages believed to be containing pipe bombs were addressed to prominent Democratic figures and vocal opponents of Donald Trump, such as Barack and Michelle Obama, Hillary and Bill Clinton, Joe Biden, Maxine Waters and Robert De Niro, just to name a few. Booker and Clapper are the most recent package recipients, bringing the total tally to 12.
"Trump claimed on Friday he was being blamed for the mail bombs addressed to his critics, complaining in a tweet sent before dawn: 'Funny how lowly rated CNN, and others, can criticize me at will, even blaming me for the current spate of Bombs..." writes the report.
