Teresa Klein, who has mockingly been dubbed "Cornerstone Caroline" is the latest white woman to call authorities after making a false report or a dubious claim on a black person.
Last week, Klein called the police and accused a 9-year-old black boy of grabbing her behind while inside a Brooklyn bodega. "I was just sexually assaulted by a child,” Klein who was recorded can be heard saying. In the background, the little boy is heard crying while standing beside his mother.
"I want the cops here right now!” Klein who lives in a Flatbush can be heard saying over the phone. “The son grabbed my a– and she decided to yell at me.”
However, surveillance footage shows that the boy didn't grab the woman's behind. While walking pass Klein, his bookbag grazed against her.
While racial tensions continue to rise, and in some cases bubble over, people are unafraid to confront and usually do so with their cellphone in hand recording. One bystander can be heard shouting "Nobody wants to touch your flat a–.”
Klein, 53, returned to the Bodega to purchase cigarettes and when prompted by a journalist went back inside to watch the encounter on the store's flat-screen television screens. It was then Klein apologized.
"Young man,” she said, “I don’t know your name but I’m sorry.”
However, the damage had been done and many on social media felt the apology wasn't good enough had authorities showed up and arrested the child.
