Usher Teases New Zaytoven-Produced Project, “A”

Usher has stayed quiet about new music but that seems to be over with the entertainer posting a teaser of his new project with Zaytoven.

Shared on Thursday (Oct. 11), the project titled A plays to Usher’s ability to blend his R&B vocals over boastful 808s. The title of the project is the shorthand for his home city of Atlanta with many mainstays like greasy eatery Varsity, legendary skate hangout Cascade and the popular jewelry store Icebox shown in the video.

The project’s song titles hint to a more playful side of the singer, a stark contrast from his slow-jam heavy 2016 effort, Hard II Love. Some song titles include “Gift Shop,” “Peace Sign,” “Say What You Want” and “Stay At Home.”

The project is also produced entirely by Zaytoven. The two previously worked together on Usher’s Raymond v. Raymond album in 2010.

The project will officially drop at midnight. See the full tracklist below.
