Wale's "Lotus Flower Bomb" Could Be About Solange

The rapper dropped a particular hint about the hit-single to fans this week.

"Lotus Flower Bomb" is one of those tracks from this decade eligible for classic status. The track, penned by Wale and featuring Miguel is all about love but could also be about Solange Knowles.

On Saturday (Oct. 13), the rapper responded to a fan on Twitter who was curious about the person who inspired the 2011 track. He responded back with, "She married now." Followers of Wale's every move are doubtful the track could be about anyone else besides the "Losing You" singer, as the two were romantically linked in 2009.

In an interview with the now (sadly) defunct Honey MagazineWale spoke highly of the Grammy winner after it was reported the two were a secret item. “I do love her,” he said in Nov. 2009. “We’re friends. She’s amazing. She’s a good person. Any single mother contributing to society the way she does – I got a lot of love for them. She’s got to do a lot on her own and raise a young black man in this day and age so my hat goes off to her. She’s definitely an anomaly. And the way she can do that and manage to do the same things that I complain about having to do.”

At the time, Solange responded to the reports, calling to the two friends. Most likely because she began dating future-husband Alan Ferguson in 2008.

"I just stated that he’s not my boyfriend, but we are good friends," she said. "I have worked with him in the past and I think he’s uber-talented. I think he’s really smart and really creative. And I respect his art. We have a mutual thing. We’re on the same record label and yeah."

"Lotus Flower Bomb" is just one of the many gems in the rapper's catalog. It led to his first Grammy nomination for "Best Rap Song" in 2013 and became his biggest hit on the Billboard Hot 100 (No. 38) until the arrival of "Bad" (No. 21) in 2013.

Teyana Taylor Addresses Iman Shumpert Cheating Rumors: "He Know I'd Kill Him"

The social peanut gallery hasn't been kind to Teyana Taylor and her marriage with Iman Shumpert.

The singer-songwriter has decided to address rumors of infidelity in her marriage head-on by clearing up the claims that the NBA star conceived a child with another woman. Since teasing her upcoming video "WTP" over the weekend, the singer abruptly deleted her Instagram and Twitter platforms. At the same time, rumors spread about Alby Rydes, a 28-year-old pornstar, who allegedly shook hands with the couple in the bedroom and birthed Shumpert's child in November.

Jokes appeared left and right on social media, as Taylor came forward to simmer down the chaos. "I've never seen/touched that girl in my life," she tweeted. She also claimed she shut down her socials as a rebuttal to her label not releasing the visuals to "WTP" on time. She also claimed her husband knows better. "Iman is not dumb. He know[s] I'd kill him. End of story."

Welp.

The couple has been at the center of cheating rumors in the past with both denying them every time. Rydes has also come forward to condemn the baby rumors. "I had my baby with the man I was dating and that ain't Iman," she said. "Y'all should be ashamed of creating this negative energy and throwing it around like it won't affect anyone."

Drake's "In My Feelings" Receives Kidz Bop Treatment

After the release of Drake's chart-topping Scorpion album, his single "In My Feelings" skyrocketed to number one, so it's no surprise the City Girls assisted track received the Kidz Bop treatment.

Since 2000, the compilation LP has sold about 17 million copies and over the weekend, Kidz Bop released its 39th installment offering the world a G-rated and tween-friendly version of today's biggest hits.

Once Twitter learned Kidz Bop laid its prepubescent hands on Drake's song, there was a mixed bag of feelings. Some went along with it and commented positively, while others were frankly offended.

I just saw a Kidz Bop commercial with the Kidz Bop version of In My Feelings and I feel like a curse has been placed on me

This isn't the first time Drake's music has been Kidz Bopped. For Kidz Bop 31, "Hotline Bling" was also featured. The new 18-track album also features Cardi B's "I Like It" as well as Khalid and Normani's "Love Lies."

The lyrics to the hook received a slight change:

KiKi, do you love me/are you with me/say you'll never ever leave from beside me/cause I want ya/and I need ya/and I'm down for ya always

And when it came time for the City Girls portion of the song, they turned that down as well.

All of us kids and we hangin' in the rain/hangin' in rain/I need a black card with the code to the safe/code to the safe.

Hey, kids need love too. Watch the Kidz Bop version of Drake's "In My Feelings" below.
