Jay-Z's New York 40/40 Club Facing Lawsuit Over Bar Fight
Mr. Shawn Carter has not be named in the suit.
A physical altercation that occurred in March at Jay-Z's 40/40 Club has resulted in a lawsuit against the popular establishment.
TMZ reports Wednesday (Nov. 14), a lawsuit by Jose Irizarry was launched against the club for failing to secure his safety during an altercation. Irizarry says he was badly beaten after suffering contusions to the head and body when security guards clashed with unknown patrons at the club.
That evening, an incident involving boxer Jermall Charlo took place when a bag full of diamonds and other jewelry were stolen. Irizarry's attorney reportedly told the site, "he's almost certain the fight his client was dragged into was the same one."
Though Jay-Z is not specifically named in the lawsuit targeted against the club's management, being that the "Empire State Of Mind" rapper owns the 40/40 sports bar he may still be liable.
