LeBron James Dismisses Questions About Carmelo Anthony Joining The Lakers

"I have no idea to be honest, that’s not a question to ask me."

With Carmelo Anthony’s recent departure from the Houston Rockets, there is no telling as of yet where he’ll go next. While the potential of him signing with the Los Angeles Lakers to play with longtime friend LeBron James is exciting, James isn’t too sure.

In a recent interview with Spectrum Sportsnet when asked about Melo possibly joining the team, James responded: "I have no idea to be honest, that’s not a question to ask me,"  he said. "Right now, we have 15 rosters spots right? We don’t have a roster spot open right now, so that's not a question for myself."

Anthony left The Rockets just after playing 10 games to start the season. Because of his short stint with the team, following a season with the Oklahoma City Thunder that ended with a first round playoff exit, he's currently looking for other landing spots. Some pundits are encouraging him to retire, but the 10-time NBA All-Star appears to still want to find a team to contribute to.

While James doesn't have much to say about Melo joining the team, he's definitely been more vocal in other ways. Shut Up And Dribble, his Jemele Hill-narrated documentary series about the history basketball players' involvement in social jutsice, recently premiered on Showtime. He has been also spotted wearing black t-shirts with the word "Enough" emblazoned on them as a form of protest against gun violence, and has recently told ESPN,

“It’s just how can you be comfortable with sending your kids to school or sending them to church or sending them to the movies or sending them to the mall?” He questioned. “Those are kind of like the great havens when I was growing up: school, church, go to the mall, go to a sporting event. That was like heaven. And it’s kind of scary at this point and time.”

Trump's Interference In A$AP Rocky's Case May Actually Make Matters Worse

According to reports, there’s a chance that Donald Trump’s call to the Swedish Prime Minister about A$AP Rocky’s removal may result in a worse scenario than originally anticipated.

Per TMZ, the prosecutor has reportedly been “immovable” on release pending charges, even though members of the United States State Dept. have also gotten involved in addition to Trump. The State Department reportedly tried to get the rapper out of jail last Thursday to no avail.

“Sources connected to the case actually think intervention by the State Dept. and the President -- who essentially said he would guarantee bail if they would release Rocky -- could actually BACKFIRE because they are trying to get in the prosecutor's business.”

The Prime Minister reportedly told 45 that “everyone is equal under the law” in Sweden, and that “the [U.S.] government cannot and will not attempt to influence the legal proceedings."

Last week, it was reported that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West contacted Trump about helping to facilitate Rocky’s removal. "I personally don't know A$AP Rocky but I can tell you he has tremendous support from the African American community in this country,” he said in a press conference last week.

Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" Ties Record For Longest-Running Number One Of All Time

For the 16th week in a row, Lil Nas X’s hit “Old Town Road” sits atop the Billboard Hot 100. This means that the track from the 20-year-old ATLien is tied for the longest-running No. 1 of all time.

According to reports, the single from the 7 EP ties Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber’s ”Despacito," as well as Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's "One Sweet Day” for the record. If he stays at No. 1 for one more week, he will be the first song in the history of American popular music to reign for an unprecedented 17 weeks.

The initial song made waves  earlier this year after getting the boot from Billboard’s Country charts for allegedly not implementing enough elements of the genre. Since then, “Old Town Road” has seen three featured artists on two separate remixes– Billy Ray Cyrus, Young Thug and Mason Ramsey. Last week, country music icon Dolly Parton hinted at hopping on the song’s next remix.

Do you think “Old Town Road” will set a new record next week? Sound off in the comments.

Tom Hanks Brings Mr. Rogers To Life In 'A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood' Trailer

Wearing the trademark red sweater, silver-gray hair along with what seems like a permanent smile plastered to his face, Tom Hanks fully steps into the role of the beloved television icon Mr. Rogers.

In the trailer for the forthcoming film A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood, Rogers meets cynical journalist Lloyd Vogel (Matthew Rhys) who's been tasked with profiling Rogers for his publication's hero issue. Yet viewers can see from the onset Vogel isn't convinced Rogers is fitting for the title.

“Please don’t ruin my childhood," This Is Us actress Susan Kelachi-Watson who plays Vogel's wife says to him.

While the trailer doesn't give too much away, as Vogel digs deeper into his profile of Rogers he begins to unearth his own unchecked demons.  "You love broken people, like me," Vogel says to Rogers.

Slated for a November 22nd release, Mr. Rogers' fans can relive once again the magic that made him who he is, while new fans can potentially discover the magic.
