Robert Kraft Is Optimistic That Colin Kaepernick Will Return To The NFL

Kraft also addressed the report that the New England Patriots are interested in signing Kapernick.

It’s been over two years since Colin Kaepernick kneeled during NFL games to enact social and racial change in America. Since that time, the former San Francisco 49er remained unsigned with hopes of one day playing in the league again. Owners and other NFL personnel have tip-toed around the actual reason why Kaepernick remains contract-less. In a story by the New York Times, a high-profile team owner expressed his optimism yet no explanation.

Robert Kraft, the New England Patriots’ owner, said he’s hopeful that Kaepernick will hit the turf in the near future. “Let me say this: I would very much like to see him in the league,” he curtly said. Kraft also addressed a report that Kaepernick would sign with the Pats, but when asked to elaborate, the billionaire admitted, “I’m done talking about it” after claiming it was simply a rumor started within Kaepernick’s legal team.

While the Times’ article partly sought to produce a concrete answer on Kaepernick's situation, the main focus centered on Eric Winston, the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) president and his fight for the league’s players and fair treatment.

Los Angeles Rams’ Andrew Whitworth touched on the frustrations the athletes currently face. “Guys are fed up,” he said. “The game right now — as strong as it is, as much money as is being made, and you’ve got a commissioner out there making the kind of money he’s making, guys are getting frustrated with how teams treat players in general sometimes. They’re getting tired of it.”

To wrap up most spectators’ and those on the inside’s thoughts, Winston said the game boils down to who holds the most power, not the most dividends. “It’s all about control,” he said. “Even more than money, it’s always been control.”

Steph Curry Says He’s “Definitely” Visiting NASA After Moon Landing Joke

Earlier this week, Stephen Curry appeared on the Winging It podcast where he expressed doubt in NASA's history landing on the moon. His comments caused an uproar in the science community and drew comparisons to Kyrie Irving’s flat Earth conspiracy.

NASA even weighed in, offering Curry a free visit to the lunar lab at Johnson Space Center in Houston. Looking back, the 30-year-old Golden State Warriors point guard admits he wasn't being totally serious about his feelings on the moon.

“I was just talking nonsense around conspiracies and whatnot...and I brought up the moon landing and if I believe it or not,” Curry explained to VIBE on Tuesday (Dec. 12) at the Warriors training facility where the NBA star gave a sneak peek at his new Under Armour Curry 6 sneakers.

“I have now parlayed that into an opportunity to educate myself and have an experience I will take NASA up on,” he continued. “I’m definitely going and also, lessoned learned in terms of obviously don’t believe something just because somebody said it, educate yourself. Do your research and be intelligent about it, that’s what I plan on doing.”

No word yet on when Curry will head to NASA.

Report: Redskins Considering Signing Colin Kaepernick

Colin Kaepernick has been without a job for nearly two years now, following his protest against social injustice during the national anthem. While the quarterback has been blacklisted from the NFL, things may finally be looking up. According to NFL coach Jay Gruden, the Washington Redskins are seriously considering signing Kaepernick.

Gruden revealed the news during a press conference on Tuesday (Dec. 4) after losing their second quarterback in the last month, TMZ reports. "[There's] not a lot of time to get a brand new QB and a system installed and taught in a couple days," Gruden said . "[Kaepernick has] been talked about and discussed..."

The Redskins previously lost their starting quarterback Alex Smith to a bad injury in Nov. 2018. They reportedly considered Kaepernick back then, but decided to go forward with Mark Sanchez. The team lost another starter, Colt McCoy to a broken fibula, which led them back to Kap.

As previously reported, Kaepernick filed a grievance against the NFL and its owner, accusing them of colluding to not hire him to a team for the 2017 season.

While the team is still in consideration, Gruden suggested that they will "probably go in a different direction." Nevertheless, he said the team will have a workout with its quarterback this week.

Magic Johnson's Daughter Elisa Narrowly Escapes Home Invasion

Magic Johnson's daughter, Elisa Johnson was reportedly involved in a home invasion in San Fernando Valley on Sunday (Dec. 2), TMZ reports. Johnson was reportedly staying at an Airbnb that she rented with friends when the attack occurred.

It's unclear if the suspects broke in or if the door was unlocked, authorities say. Nevertheless, it was reported that two armed men entered the establishment, and began terrorizing the 10 people staying there at gunpoint.

Elisa was reportedly in one of the bedrooms when she heard the commotion. She then escaped through a sliding door that was located at the back of the house and ran down the street to get help.

Luckily, no one was harmed during the robbery. But the bandits did make off with at least $30K to $40K in valuables, including jewelry, cash, and electronics.

Elisa is the youngest child of NBA legend Magic and Cookie Johnson. She previously appeared on E!'s reality series Rich Kids of Beverley Hills and her brother EJ Johnson's spinoff show, EJNYC.

It appears that Elisa may have responded to the reports on her Instagram Stories on Sunday (Dec. 2), saying, "God is good."

Airbnb also released a statement on Monday (Dec. 3), addressing the rarity of this incident. "There have been over 400 million guest arrivals in Airbnb listings and negative incidents are extremely rare. We are urgently investigating this incident and are reaching out to our community members and local law enforcement to better understand what happened," the statement reads.

It's unclear why the burglars targeted Johnson at this time. Police say they fled the scene before they arrived. Authorities are still investigating the situation.
