Anderson .Paak Brings "Anywhere" Performance To 'The Daily Show'
Anderson .Paak gave us something to groove to.
Bringing his Oxnard album to life, Anderson .Paak brought a mellow version of his artful collaboration track "Anywhere" to The Daily Show With Trevor Noah.
Originally recorded alongside California legend Snoop Dogg, the Last Artful, and Dodgr, the 32-year-old took a different approach to the mid-tempo bop. Stripping the track of its features and combining the passionate sounds of live instrumentalists and a voice changer to back the vocals under his singing, this performance shows off .Paak's many talents.
Seated at a drum set, the "Tints" rapper counts of the performance clanking the candy cane looking drumsticks together before being joined by a trumpet player and pianist.
"We'll get back to all that ghetto sh*t we like/But for now just let me hold you all night/Cheek to cheek just like they do in the movies/Tonight, baby, I want your love on time/As soon as I put this on/Cutie pie, you're the reason why/As soon as I put this on," the Oxnard, Calif. native sang.
