Juelz Santana Sentenced To Two Years Prison Time In Airport Gun Case
Juelz Santana is going to jail.
The Dipset rapper was reportedly sentenced to 27 months behind bars on Wednesday (Dec. 18) in connection to his airport drug and weapons case, TMZ reports.
In addition to the mandated prison time, a judge ordered the rapper be held under a supervised release for one year after he serves his time.
As previously reported, Santana was busted in Mar. 2018 for attempting to bring a loaded .38-caliber handgun and eight Oxycodone pills in his travel bag at Newark International Airport. After TSA discovered the loaded weapon and illegal substances, Juelz and crew reportedly fled the scene. He later turned himself into the authorities however, where he pled guilty to unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Santana may be going away for awhile, but he made sure to tie up a couple of loose ends beforehand. The rapper recently proposed to his longtime girlfriend and mother of his children Kimbella during a Dipset concert in Nov. 2018. The rapper also appeared on the rap group's reunion album Diplomatic Ties, which dropped on Nov. 22.
A date was not disclosed regarding when Juelz will surrender to authorities.
