Pleasure P Reportedly Arrested For DUI In Miami On His Birthday
"There are two sides to every story."
Pleasure P thanked fans for the birthday wishes following reports that he was busted on suspicion of DUI in Miami, early Friday (Dec. 28). The Florida native, whose birth names is Marcus Cooper, was arrested for DUI, driving on a suspended license, reckless driving and resisting an officer without violence, reports The Miami-Herald.
The Pretty Ricky crooner was on his way back from celebrating his 34th birthday when he was pulled over by Miami Beach police, at around 3:45 a.m. local time. According to Miami’s ABC 10 News, an officer spotted Pleasure P’s SUV speeding at up to 100 mph in a 45 mph lane, swerving and nearly colliding with another vehicle.
Per an arrest report, the cop initially stopped the singer for having dark window tints. The officer administered a field sobriety test after smelling alcohol on Pleasure P, who was slurring his words, and had bloodshot eyes. He did however inform the officer that he had been partying for his birthday, authorities said. He also blew more than twice the legal limit during a breath test, TMZ reports.
Additional officers were reportedly called to the scene after the Love & Hip Hop: Miami star was hesitant to comply with orders to place his hands behind his back, and became “tense” when the officer attempted to do it for him. Police said that he asked to speak with a lawyer and requested to call Shaquille O’Neal and Flo Rida, but was denied.
Pleasure P allegedly “reeked” of alcohol to the point where the windows in the squad car had to be rolled down upon taking him to Miami-Dade County Jail. After being released, he recorded a since-deleted video on Instagram denying the officer’s account. “I’m all about safe driving,” he reportedly said. “Recklessly driving was I? Not at all, but people are gonna say what they want to say. The officer who pulled me over, he’s gonna say what he wants to say but that’s not the truth.”
In another Instagram post blasting The Herald for the arrest report, Pleasure P wrote that there are “two sides” to every story, and that his birthday was “ruined.” Read his full post below.

@martin_vassolo come on man don’t use your plat form to sell one side of a story. There’s two sides to every story. Today i was just trying to move forward and continue to celebrate my birthday because it was ruined. Don’t make it seem any way other than. That. In life shit happens, sometimes it’s fair and in your favor and sometimes it’s not. Moving forward now 2019.
