Lupita Nyong'o, Lizzo And More To Appear On '2 Dope Queens'
No shortage of star power.
The second season of HBO’s live adaptation of the podcast ‘2 Dope Queens” premieres in early February, and notable celebrity guests are scheduled to stop by to chat with the show’s hosts Jessica Williams and Phoebe Robinson.
According to Vulture, Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o, rapper/singer Lizzo, and writer/producer/director/activist Janet Mock are among some of the big names slated to drop by. Nyong’o will be featured in an episode about fashion, while Lizzo and Mock will be in an episode all about music. Fans of the show can also look out for comedian Keegan-Michael Key, who will join the hosts for a game of impressions.
Last season, guests such as Orange Is The New Black’s Uzo Aduba and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’s Tituss Burgess were among some of the guests on the show, which was filmed at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Much like their podcast of the same name, the HBO series features Williams and Robinson discussing a wide range of topics, from sex and dating to beauty and fashion to social justice. The podcast officially ended with a farewell episode and interview with former First Lady and best-selling author, Michelle Obama.
