Cardi B Comments On Government Shutdown: "Our Country Is In A Hellhole"

"All for a f**kin' wall."

Cardi B wanted to give her two cents on the now-25 day partial government shutdown. The Grammy-nominated rapper got political on her Instagram page, stating that she believes our country is in a "Hellhole" and she feels terribly for those affected.

"It’s been a little bit over three weeks. Trump is now ordering, as in summoning, federal government workers to go back to work without getting paid," she said. Cardi continued by telling people not to drag former President Barack Obama's partial government shutdown into the conversation, as his shutdown was for a better reason than Trump's dream border wall.

"Now, I don't want to hear any of y'all motherf**kas talkin' 'bout, 'Oh, but Obama shut down the government for 17 days,' Yeah, b***h! For healthcare!" she continued. "So your grandma could check her blood pressure and you b****es could go check y'all p***y at the gynecologist with no motherf**kin' problem. This sh*t is really f**kin' serious, bro. This sh*t is crazy. Like, our country is in a hellhole right now. All for a f**kin' wall."

The Invasion of Privacy MC continues by stating that she is "scared" and feels badly for those who aren't able to be compensated for their work.

"Now, I now a lot of y’all don’t care…  b***h I’m scared," she concludes. "This is crazy, and I really feel bad for these people that gotta go to f**kin' work without getting f**kin' paid."

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Will Be The First Guest On Showtime's 'Desus & Mero'

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Democratic U.S. Representative and Bronx native, will be the first guest on Desus & Mero's new show. The number one show in late night will have its first episode on Showtime on Thursday, Feb. 21.

In the promo for the episode, Ocasio-Cortez says, "I am proud to announce that I will be forming an exploratory committee to be the first guest on Desus & Mero!” The hilarious duo pop up, and start hyping her and the show up. Ocasio-Cortez ends the clip with a resounding "yerrrr," because if you know...you know.

It was announced in mid-2018 that the Bodega Boys would be ending their show's Viceland run after two seasons for bigger and better things. When the Showtime deal was announced, the network's president and CEO praised the Bronx natives and said they're a welcome addition to the family.

"We have waited a long time to enter the talk show space, and we were only going to do it if we felt like we had the next big thing,” he said in a release. “Desus and Mero feel like exactly that: They have knockout comedic voices, they’re brilliant interviewers and they always have a unique take on culture both high and low."

Upcoming guests on the show this season reportedly include Vince Staples, Pusha T, Issa Rae and Ben Stiller.

Donald Trump Reportedly Does His Own Makeup

As the American people enter their third year with President Donald Trump, many still have questions. Will he receive funding for his U.S-Mexico border wall? Will he get impeached? How is it that in the unforgiving cold temperatures of February, he's still able to maintain his orange glow?

No one can predict the future but Vanity Fair has spoken to sources close 45 who allege in regards to his skin tone, he applies his own makeup. Originally, the New York Times query was pursued as a matter of Trump's health, to which a senior administration officially attributed his  orange hue to "good genes."

Former aide Omarosa Manigault Newman penned in her tell-all book that Trump travels with a tanning bed. The pale skin around his eyes helped to bolster the allegation, making many believe he wore goggles while tanning. However, sources confirm there is no tanning bed on Air Force One or inside the White House.

Instead, Trump is known for applying his own translucent powder before making appearances and speeches, and also adjusts the lighting at events within the White House to not appear too citrus-y.

The president's complexion has been a source of Internet fodder and a running punchline since his election. Along with his makeup routine, the president also goes through a detail-oriented grooming process for his swooping blond hair.

Cardi B Invited To Speak To Young Democrats At Iowa Caucus

Rapper Cardi B has recently been using her platform to speak out on the political issues affecting this country and has caught the attention of Democrats in Iowa, so much so that they have invited her to speak at their reception.

The invitation was extended to the Money rapper via the Polk County Democrats Twitter, where other prominent figures of the Democratic party were mentioned as well.

As the center of the IA Caucuses, we have been honored to host @TeamPelosi, @CecileRichards, @KamalaHarris, @SenGillibrand, @PramilaJayapal, @Grace4NY, and many powerful women leaders.

It only makes sense to invite @iamcardib to a reception of her choice while she’s here in May.

Cardi B has since responded to the invitation through her Twitter account.

Should I ? https://t.co/H5iI01jIoG

The invitation was extended to Cardi for any date in May when her Invasion of Privacy tour reaches Des Moines. Chair of the Polk County Democrats Sean Bagniewski expressed why they have an interest in Bronx native. "She speaks to the new activism in the Democratic Party," he said. "It's a long shot, but a little bit of her presence would go a long way."

If Cardi decides to accept the invitation, it would be a political stance following many others she has made in the past couple of weeks on social media. One of the most standout moments included clapping back at conservative, ex-host of The Blaze Tomi Lahren as well as responding to critics of her "Twerk" music video, who questioned how the video empowered women.

"It says to women that I can wear not wear what ever I want," the rapper said in the tweet. "Do w.e I want and that NO still means NO."

It says to women that I can wear and not wear what ever I want. do w.e I want and that NO still means NO. So Stephanie chime in..If I twerk and be half naked does that mean I deserve to get raped and molested ? I want to know what a conservative woman like you thinks 🤔 https://t.co/8UBQQzO6jK
