Drag-On Has Things To Get Off His Chest On "Icon" Remix
Drag-On is reminding all of his fellow contenders in the rap game of his lyrical prowess on the stellar remix for “Icon.” In a white crisp space sporting a black tee paired with khaki pants, the former Ruff Ryders legend keeps it simple on the visuals for the track that was first rocked by Will Smith's son Jaden for his Syre album released in 2017. While the video itself is modest, the message he’s delivering comes at light bolting speed with metaphors slipping out of his mouth in less than millisecond intervals.
His style of rapping is reminiscent to the days of speed spittin', but the approach to his craft has a newer approach considering how much things have changed since his Ruff Ryder stint. “I’m loving the change in hip-hop right now,” he told VIBE. “When I first came into the game, you had to have a major record company behind you. Not even an independent label, but a major. Now, I love the fact I’m in full control of my music, and how I’m touching my fanbase. This is part of the game that I love.”
"Icon" is off Drag's latest Barz On Fire 3 mixtape which is trending on Datpiff.com, featuring Maino, Ru Williams and production by CrazeOnTheBeatz, Merc Beats and CuddyOnTheBeats. The soloist is going all out with the support of Back in Da Game Entertainment management and his own Hood Environment record label. Watch the video below.
