Drake And Odell Backham Jr. Sued For Orchestrating Violent Attack On Man

Drake and OBJ were both caught on camera at the time of the incident.

Drake and NFL wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. are reportedly being sued for allegedly orchestrating a violent attack on a man in a West Hollywood club, TMZ reports. According to court docs obtained by the celeb site, Bennett Sipes is accusing Drake and Beckham of telling their entourage to beat him up after a brief confrontation.

Sipes claims the incident occurred in the VIP section of the Delilah nightclub after he began to argue with Drizzy, Beckham, Kourtney Kardashian's ex-boyfriend Younes Benjima, and the rest of their crew. A source close to the incident claims Sipes was "talking smack" at the time. When he attempted to exit the area, Sipes alleges that Drake gave him the "cut throat" gesture.

When the victim entered the bathroom, he was attack by Benjima and Drake and Beckham's friends. The whole fight was caught on video, showing Benjima throwing the first punch at Sipes. Drake and OBJ are also seen on camera watching from a distance.

Sipes reportedly filed a police report following the incident, but dropped it shortly after. He is suing OBJ, Drake, Delilah and others other for an undisclosed amount.

YG Handcuffed And Cited For Reckless Driving In Tense Traffic Stop

YG was reportedly handcuffed and cited for reckless driving on Sunday (June 23), TMZ reports. Footage from the scene shows a seemingly tense interaction between police and bystanders.

YG and friends were reportedly en route to the 1 OAK nightclub where the rapper was set to make an appearance when he was pulled over by police. Law enforcement claimed YG was speeding and weaving in and out of lanes on the Sunset Boulevard. Video shows YG speaking with two officers.

Although the "Go Loko" artist appeared to be calm in the video, police said the rapper had become "upset and uncooperative and used profanities toward the deputies," which prompted them to handcuff his hands behind his back.

Witnesses soon became upset with the ways in which the police responded to the situation. Footage shows one cop exchanging words with a young man across the street from him. It's unclear what the man was saying to the officer, but the cop can be heard telling him to "shut up."

YG was reportedly ordered to take a sobriety test and a field breathalyzer, which determined that he was not under the influence. He was later cited for reckless driving and released.

Nipsey Hussle's Family Delivers Powerful Message At 2019 BET Awards

Just three months after Nipsey Hussle's passing, the BET Awards honored the late artist and philanthropist with the Humanitarian Award on Sunday (June 23). Nip's family took the stage at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles to accept the award on his behalf, where his grandmother, Lauren London, Nip's mother, and father delivered kind words.

Hussle's grandmother spoke first, thanking the fans and friends for their well wishes and prayers. She was followed by Nipsey's mother, Angelique Smith, who walked fans through her last interactions with her son.

“One of Ermias’s close friends was very traumatized. I walked over to him and put my hands on his shoulder, and I told him, ‘Evan, look into my eyes, Evan.’ I said, ‘You know that we are spiritual beings having a physical experience, right Evan? You understand that, right?’ So even though our bodies die, as they call it on this side of eternity, our spirits live. We lift out of this vessel and we continue on, and then I felt a spirit of retribution and revenge when I had my hands on his shoulder and I had to talk .. I was 100 percent present in the spirit and 100 percent absent in the body until I felt that spirit of retribution and revenge … I could tell I chased those spirits away from him."

Nip's father concluded the appearance by once again thanking BET for the honor and reiterating how proud he was of his son.
