Muslim Law Professor And Author Accuses Delta Pilot Of Assault
The Arab-Muslim author said a Delta pilot grabbed him by the neck as he was waiting to make a complaint.
An Arab-Muslim author and law professor took to social media Monday (Feb. 11) to accuse a Delta pilot of assault.
Khaled Beydoun alleges that after landing in Arkansas and waiting on the jetway he wanted to issue a complaint to the pilot, who allegedly then grabbed him by his neck, said "Come here" yelled at him in front of passengers and then called authorities.
The US Civil Rights Commission member revealed he travels Delta regularly and says he was assaulted because of race.
Beydoun says as the police spoke to the pilot behind closed doors, he fearfully assumed when they opened the door again, he'd be arrested. Then he noted had he been a white man, the pilot would've interacted with him in a different manner.
While Beydoun received support from friends and followers, he made sure to point out that after coming forward about the alleged assault, many tried to pin the blame on him.
Delta hasn't released a formal statement about the complaint.
