Ty Dolla $ign Reaches Deal To Have Drug Charges Dropped
The "Pyscho" singer's charges will be tossed under one condition.
Ty Dolla $ign will have his drug charges dropped, so long as he adheres to the conditions of a plea deal. The “Psycho” singer came to an agreement with Atlanta prosecutors sometime last week after his lawyers pointed out holes in the case against him, TMZ reports.
In order to have the two felony charges and one misdemeanor charge tossed, Ty has to participate in a 13-week online drug prevention program. He also must abstain from weed and prescription drugs while completing the program.
The 33-year-old recording artist was facing up to 15 years in prison. He was arrested in Atlanta in September for cocaine and marijuana possession after authorities searched his limo. The arrest came hours before he was billed to perform in the city. Although Ty wasn’t alone in the vehicle, he was the only one arrested. He was indicted on the charges in December.
In other news, the Los Angeles native deleted all of the posts from his Instagram and Twitter accounts, which could be mean that he has a new project is on the way.
