Chicago drill rapper Lil Mister has died at the age of 24.
A report from the Chicago Sun-Times indicates that a young man was shot Friday (March 15) in the South Side Englewood area at 7:15 PM. The victim was found with a gunshot wound to his head and was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. While the victim goes unidentified in the report, outlets known for coverage on Chicago rappers like Say Cheese and Kollege Kid have confirmed the victim was Lil Mister.
Born Antwon Fields, the rapper is synonymous with the Chicago drill scene. In 2012, the artist dropped "No Lackin" which became his biggest single to date. The rapper found himself in trouble with the law over the years with charges related to speeding and gun possession. Fields is also the cousin of Lil Durk and close friends with slain rapper Lil Jojo. In an interview with Zack TV, the rapper shared how Durk gave him advice following his beef with other underground rappers from New York in 2017.
Investigators do not have any suspects in the homicide investigation.
