Woman Who Bailed R. Kelly Out Of Jail Receives Bomb Threats At Daycare
Valencia Love received several bomb threats at her place of business on Mar. 2.
Valencia P. Love, the woman who paid for R. Kelly's bond following his arrest for criminal sex abuse, has reportedly received bomb threats at her place of business. CBS Chicago reporter Brad Edwards first revealed the news on Sunday (Mar. 3).
According to Edwards, multiple threats were called in to Love's daycare on Saturday (Mar. 2). "The business is connected to the woman who posted R. Kelly’s $100k bond. PER CPD - No offender in custody. Bomb and arson cleared the scene. Area Central investigating," he tweeted. Chicago PD later confirmed the report to TMZ.
The threats come only days after Love posted Kelly's $100K bond in Chicago. The singer was being detained for 10 counts of criminal sex abuse. Many of the charges were connected to women under the age of 17.
Love responded to the backlash regarding her friendship with Kelly and her decision to post his bail in a statement shortly after his release, stating that she believed he was innocent and a good man. "He’s not a monster, he’s not," she said. "He’s been nothing but a gentleman to me... There are three sides to every story, his side, there’s the alleged victims, and the truth."
According to TMZ, law enforcement did not find any explosive devices at the daycare center upon further investigation.
