Cardi B Confirms She Got Liposuction: "I Shouldn’t Really Be Performing"

Cardi B's body has come under major public scrutiny within the last couple of months. After dodging fans' inquiries, Cardi B confirmed that she got plastic surgery work done.

The Bronx rapper admitted that she got liposuction during her set at the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis on Sunday (May 5). She said that due to her recent surgery, her doctor suggested that she not perform on stage for a while. "I have some news for y’all. I should have canceled today,” she said. “I shouldn’t really be performing because moving too much is gonna f**k up my lipo. But b***h I’m still gonna get my motherf**king money back, let’s go!”

As the crowd erupted into collective applause, Cardi detailed some perceived flaws that she still wants to fix. "I still feel like I got a lot of love handles right here,” she continued. “It’s not much but it’s like — I’m used to having, like, a real tight stomach … I might just get a little lipo, you know what I’m sayin’?”

Cardi B will be showing off more of her new body at the annual Met Gala on Monday night  (May 6) in New York City.

Little Brother To Reunite At Hopscotch Festival And Release New Music

This is not a drill. Little Brother is back.

DJBooth reports Big Pooh and Phonte will officially return to the stage as Little Brother at the upcoming Hopscotch Festival. The North Carolina legends confirmed the news to the outlet and noted that 9th Wonder won't be apart of the reunion but did give his blessing.

The group made waves with their debut album The Listening in the early aughts but cemented their legacy with the classic album, The Minstrel Show in 2005. As Uproxx notes, the group also inspired and worked with some of the biggest artists in music today like Drake and Kanye West.

"I'm excited to announce that my brother Big Pooh and I are back at work. New Little Brother music and a tour are coming soon," Phonte said in a statement to DJBooth. "After conversations with 9th Wonder following our Art of Cool reunion show in Durham last year, the three of us mutually agreed it was best for LB to continue as a duo, as Pooh and I have officially been Little Brother since 2007."

Like Phonte mentioned, the group reunited briefly at the Art of Cool Festival in Durham, North Carolina last year. Phone and Pooh will also release new music as Little Brother.

Since their initial split, each member has gone on to release their own critically acclaimed projects. Phonte released solo projects like No News Is Good News and recently celebrated the 11th anniversary of The Foreign Exchange's standout project, Leave It All Behind.

Big Pooh has released several albums over the years, including his latest project RPM in 2018. 9th Wonder has notably gone on to be one of the most important producers in hip-hop, working with the likes of Jay-Z, the late Nipsey Hussle, and Kendrick Lamar. He also founded Jamla Records with Grammy-nominated Rapsody on his roster.

It's Happening: Rihanna Confirms 'R9' Will Be A Reggae Album

Last year, sources close to singer and business mogul Rihanna told Rolling Stone that her ninth studio-album would pay homage to her Caribbean roots. In an interview with T Magazine, the news appears to have been confirmed by the Bajan beauty herself.

Rihanna hinted that the project– which she joked may actually be called R9 thanks to her Navy– will indeed be a Reggae/Dancehall album.

“I’m about to call it that probably, ’cause they have haunted me with this ‘R9, R9, when is R9 coming out?'” she laughed. “How will I accept another name after that’s been burned into my skull?” Elsewhere in the conversation about new music, Rihanna stated that Drake will not be a featured artist on the LP and that she is open to working with Lady Gaga in the future.

Last year, an anonymous producer stated that Rih’s team had “500 records” for R9 “[From] different producers and writers.” Despite the massive number of tracks to choose from, they were able to narrow it down to the lowest double-digit.

“They’re only choosing 10 records,” the producer reportedly said. “They’ve been having writing camps and trying to keep them quiet for almost a year and a half now.”

While there’s no official word on when her highly-anticipated follow up to ANTI will drop, Rihanna is certainly keeping busy. She recently announced she is working with LVMH on an exclusive fashion house, Fenty, expanding her brand as a beauty and fashion entrepreneur.

Arrest Warrant Issued On Mother Of Nipsey Hussle's Daughter Amid Custody Case

An arrest warrant has reportedly been issued for Tanisha Foster, the mother of Nipsey Hussle's daughter, TMZ reports. The warrant was filed after Foster failed to appear in court for a DUI case.

Tanisha Foster was reportedly busted for DUI in Los Angeles a few years ago. She pled no contest to one of the charges and was sentenced to three years probation. Foster skipped out on her court date on May 15, however, which resulted in her probation being revoked and a bench warrant for her arrest being issued.

The arrest warrant was issued in the middle of Foster's battle for custody of her and Nipsey Hussle's daughter, 10-year-old Emani. Nip's sister, Samantha Smith reportedly filed for guardianship of her niece following the rapper's untimely death. Smith and the rest of Nip's family claim Foster is not a stable parent.

Both parties appeared in court last Tuesday (May 14). Foster reportedly broke down in tears after seeing her daughter for the first time in months. A judge reportedly cleared the courtroom and gave the mom and daughter 20 minutes together. A judge has yet to rule on the custody of Emani.
