Serena Williams has been fined $2,000 for a code violation for verbal abuse during her loss to Samantha Stosur in Sunday's U.S. Open final, the United States Tennis Association announced Monday, according to ESPN.

Williams confronted chair umpire Eva Asderaki after Asderaki ruled Williams had hindered Stosur's ability to complete a point in Sunday's final by yelling "Come on!" as Stosur reached for a backhand. That penalty gave Stosur a 1-0 lead in the second set.

Williams went over to talk to Asderaki and told her off. See that video here, in case you missed it.
