Actor Wood Harris, best known for his roles on ‘The Wire’ and ‘Paid In Full,’ is set to return to the big screen in his latest film ‘Joy Road.’ The movie, shot in Detroit, MI, stars Harris as a defense attorney in the emerging middle class of the Motor City forced to represent his sister's boyfriend, 'Big Boy,' who stands accused of a murder. ‘Joy Road’ hopes to shed light on our nation’s private prison structure and the global corporations that operate them for profit.
According to the film’s director, Harry Davis:
"Joy Road is one of the most important films of these times with the many layered messages vital to the future of African Americans."
