On March 3rd, Studio Africa and Boiler Room launched the first in a series of multimedia global events happening this spring in Tokyo, Paris, London, Berlin, and Los Angeles. Funded by Diesel + EDUN, the series will highlight a variety of African artists, including: designer Laurence Chauvin Buthaud; stylist and blogger Tanya Mushayi; new wave aficionado Petite Noir  (YannickIllunga); Congolese Belgian-raised rapper Baloji; openly gay Moroccan author Abdellah Taïa; model and entrepreneurial advocate Flaviana Matata; Senegalese actor and model, Sy Alassane; photojournalist Uviwe Mangweni; and Soweto photography collective, I See A Different You. No wonder Solange was moved to join the project as brand ambassador. "My love for African fashion, music and art runs deep to my core and has been a significant source of inspiration to me as an artist."
