If your music loving friends really love you or music, they have talked your ear off about Boiler Room TV, the live party broadcast phenomenon. If they haven't, you need some new friends.

Pretty much since they plugged in the decks in a London warehouse in 2010, the expertly curated multimedia outlet has become a "Must" stop for both breakthrough DJs on the rise, and the veterans whom they revere and whose legacies they covet. A mash up of TV dance parties like American Bandstand, Soul Train, and the New Dance Show and infamously intimate parties like the Loft, Paradise Garage, and Studio 54, Boiler Room TV updates the "bearing witness to a scene" experience by streaming local private events live online. Thanks to Boiler Room TV, everyone can say that they were, as James Murphy sang, "there when…" regardless of where they actually were.

Today's broadcast features none other than Frankie Knuckles, who helped birth house music when he moved from New York to Chicago. The Juan MacLean and House of House represent New York's disco-rock halfway house DFA, and Detroit's Brooklyn-based Ghostly pal and Bunker resident Mike Servito rounds out the set. The unitarian lineup connects three pivotal points in house music's spectrum, a welcome antidote to the cross-generational in-fighting riddling DJ culture at the moment.

It's all going down today from 7pm-11pm EST, in an undisclosed location in New York, and Vibe will be there. Be sure to join us and tune in to the live stream here: http://www.boilerroom.tv/live.
