"I really didn't like electronic music at that time." It's hard to believe, but one of the reigning princes of EDM (aka Zedd aka Anton Zaslavski) was not a fan of the genre in the beginning. In an exclusive interview with Beatport, the classically trained artist admits that it wasn't until listening to Justice's productions that he started taking interests in bass sounds and experimenting with synthesizers. "I think I enjoyed not knowing the rules of it."

Watch the full interview below where a pre-Clarity Zedd goes in-depth on how he rose to prominence in the industry, including his participation in three Beatport remixing contests and his fan exposure from touring with Skrillex and Deadmau5. "I would try to have a sound that other people would want to copy. When you catch other people with a sound like yours, that's when you know when did something."
