Yesterday (Jan 25), loved ones, friends and family of the late Steven Rodriguez a.k.a A$AP Yams, attended his funeral at Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel in New York City – the place where the lives of Aaliyah, Joan Rivers and the Notorious B.I.G. were also celebrated. The funeral housed about 100 people while the chapel was adorned with flowers and A$AP garb. Yams’ casket was framed with a photo of Tumblr-inspired art of him riding a white unicorn on one side and a Coogi sweater on the other, according to The Fader. Earlier reports stated that Yams was found unconscious by his roommate on Sunday (Jan 18) morning, and later taken to Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, where he was pronounced dead. The reason for his passing has not yet been confirmed. A$AP Rocky recently denounced speculations that blame Yam’s death on an alleged drug overdose.
