Amidst the controversy surrounding host Steve Harvey's rather embarrassing gaffe during the Miss Universe pageant, Marjorie Harvey is standing by her husband, taking to Instagram to state that she's proud of her partner for taking responsibility for the mistake seen 'round the world.

The Internet collectively and expectedly went crazy after Harvey's televised blunder on Sunday night (Dec. 20), in which he crowned Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutiérrez, as the winner of the pageant, only to apologize to the beauty queen moments later when he revealed she was the runner-up and the actual winner was Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. He apologized via Twitter a few minutes after the mistake was broadcast, but due to some spelling errors and racists ripping him a new one because of it, the tweet was taken down. He offered a flawless apology the next day to the winner, the runner-up and the viewers at home.

Many blame the mistake on the confusing formatting design of the cue card that Harvey was given, while Harvey himself was reported saying that the teleprompter listed the wrong name. We'll never know what truly happened that night, but man, did it make for great television or what?!
