It looks like the second coming of the Bad Boy imprint is upon us. Diddy took to his Instagram account to announce a "NEW DEAL ALERT!!!" sharing the big news with his followers that his youngest son and mini-me, Christian Combs, is now a part of his father's longstanding record label currently in partnership with Epic Records.
"CONGRATS on signing that record deal!! #BADBOY #EPIC," the Harlemite wrote, wishing his son a happy eighteenth birthday in the process. Christian previously spoke to The Breakfast Club on his aspirations of becoming a rapper, stating that his moniker will be King Combs and that he doesn't feel the pressure of living up to his father's legacy.
The 18-year-old now joins a stacked roster of artists from Janelle Monae to French Montana. Christian also took to his Instagram account to share his excitement behind the news.
"I'm extremely thankful for everything that God has blessed me with and I will never take it for granted," he wrote. "Music is something that's been part of me my whole life."
The signing was overseen by Epic Chairman and CEO LA Reid, and his long-time friend and musical partner, Grammy Award®-winning artist, producer, entrepreneur Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs aka Puff Daddy, Christian’s father and the founder of hip-hop’s iconic Bad Boy Entertainment.
"I couldn't be prouder of Christian. He's an incredibly talented artist with a bright future. Christian has earned this opportunity from hard work and dedication and he represents the future of Bad Boy." said Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
“Our ability to pass the torch to a new generation is what music history is all about,” said Mr. Reid. “I have watched Christian grow into a very talented young artist and it fills me with great pride to share this with my brother and friend Puffy.”
Can't stop, won't stop.
