Alton Sterling's son, Cameron wept inconsolably during a press conference Wednesday (July 6) following the tragic news of his father's death in Baton Rouge, La, As Cameron broke down in tears on the podium, his mother, Quinyetta McMillan, addressed the sea of reporters.

"He [Cameron Sterling] had to watch this, as this was put all over the outlets," Quinyetta told reporters. "As a mother, I have now been forced to raise a son who is going to remember what happened to his father." Cameron immediately began to cry as friends and family surrounded him.

"The individuals involved in his murder took away a man with children who depended upon their daddy on a daily basis," McMillan continued. "My son is not the youngest; he is the oldest of his siblings. He is 15 years old. He had to watch this as this was put all over the outlets... And some may know Alton sold CDs and was doing just that, not bothering anyone, and had the consent of the store owners as well."

As showed in a gruesome video circulating the Internet, Alton was wrestled to the ground by two police officers. The situation soon turned fatal after one officer, who was resting his knee on Alton's back, yelled "gun." The video, which was shot by pedestrians in a parked car, turns away, but the police officer reportedly shot Alton in the chest and back, killing him.

While it's difficult to even imagine how this situation may feel to the Sterling family, Quinyetta, Cameron, and his siblings are not alone in their outrage and grief. Celebrities including Charlamagne Tha God, Zendaya, Keke Palmer, and Wiz Khalifa have taken to Twitter to express their condolences, share their opinions, and call for action.
