A Russian makeup artist with the handle @notcatart is under fire for his recent "White To Black" makeup challenge, in which he used several makeup brands to achieve a look mimicking a black person.

"I love skin of all colors and this look is inspired from it," he wrote in his caption. "That we all are beautiful... And I wanna show you how it’s beautiful love it!"

The artist, who played Yo Gotti's "Rake It Up" in the video of his transformation, can be seen applying very dark foundation all over his face and neck. The look was finished with a pink pout and bottom grillz.

To make matters more despicable, the artist also started favoriting comments featuring inflammatory language against black female commenters who were not gung-ho about the makeup challenge. One comment he favorited read that a young woman looked like "a burnt ni**er tired of picking cotton."

Sand wrote in his re-post of the video "It's not 'BLACKFACE.' His comments have been turned off amidst the backlash. There's other ways to show your appreciation for those melanated and highly-favored. We should all be well-aware that this has and never will be acceptable.
