Lil Kim is tired of interviewers pitting female rappers against each other. More importantly, she's exhausted with radio stations asking her about Nicki Minaj. Kim appeared on the Real 92.3 station in Los Angeles on Thursday (Aug. 9) where she asked everyone to stop trying to revisit her past with Minaj.
As we are well aware Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj's past beef dated back to a disagreement that occurred around 2009. Despite a series of interviews in which both artists didn't speak highly of one another, Kim would like to move on and focus on her own career.
When asked if she had feelings about Nicki's forthcoming album being titled Queen, she replied: "Oh God, let me ask you this, Do you fuck with me for real? If you f**k with me then why isn't this about Kim?" "If we gonna mention one female, we need to mention them all. We need to bring everybody in and we need to show everybody love."
The "Nasty One" rapper also stated that she wishes Nicki nothing but the best. "God bless her," she added. "She did what she did, until she's ready, hopefully, God puts it on her mind to do the right thing because she knows what she did. Once that happens, hopefully everyone will stop asking me."
As the conversation moved past Kim and Nicki, the veteran artist was later questioned about Nicki's past feud with Remy Ma, to which Kim replied with a lesson about baiting women against one another. "That automatically puts females against each other," she said. "Let each female shine, when Remy's up here, ask her about her fuckin' dope ass bars."
Kim isn't the only female rapper to demand the same. Trina, Cardi B, and more have also suggested fans and media love to pit women against each other. So, let's put and end to it once and for all. Check out Lil Kim's full interview above.
