CULT GUY SAYS
Founders: Siblings Cameron and Jasmin Larian
Happy Customers: We launched on Feb. 9th. Ultimately, we don’t fret over the particulars of who wears the clothes. We want our brand to be work by real people with real taste. But we did just give Leonardo DiCaprio one at Coachella!
On Cult Guy’s Humble Beginnings: The driving force behind the creation of Cult Guy was our mutual love of unique prints and textiles that look great, feel great, and fit great. Growing up as siblings, we would often harbor strong opinions on how the other should dress, and now we’ve found common ground and an amazing intersection of tastes.

On The Design Process: We really wanted to incorporate all the best aspects from our favorite brands into one cohesive design. We are interested in making clothing that makes people look twice, a true conversation piece. Aesthetically, we’re driven by the minutiae: beautiful details like unique prints and, most importantly- the perfect fit.
Their Uniqueness In The Marketplace: Cult Guy is a brand for lovers, mavericks, and adventurers. It is made for the guy who wants unique, comfortable, fitted clothing for any occasion. We offer the best-looking short sleeve button down shirts at transparent price points. No other brand on the market is selling silk shirts with mother of pearl buttons and French seams for under $150, but we pride ourselves on both affordability and quality, and never sacrifice one for the other. Also, our cuts are limited so that you won’t see every bro on the block wearing it! If our brand were a fictitious character or celebrity, it would be a cross between Mowgli from The Jungle Book, Elon Musk, and James Bond. If it were music, a cross between Queen, Diddy, and Daft Punk with a little Bob Marley.
Favorite Piece From Current Collection: Our SSBDs all have different fabrics that give them each a unique touch and feel. Clothing like music is an art and the best art is the one that matches the mood and vibrations at that moment. So, in a sense, they are all favorites because there’s a time and place for each shirt.

Ashley Monaé, Vixen Editor:
When it comes to my personal style, it’s just that, mine! I’m usually dressed down thanks to the industry I work in that allows for truly expressing yourself through clothing and rock whatever your heart desires. For myself, that usually entails distressed jeans, graphic t-shirts, a dope pair of kicks, and some eye-catching baubles to jazz things up.

I like to stick to clean color palettes, so the Cult Guy “Steven” button down was perfect. I paired it with a pair of overalls and the classic, always stylish Old Skool kicks from Vans. I’m no stranger to rummaging through the men’s side of stores to look for pieces that could work well with my existing closet. I think it’s safe to say that the “Steven” will have a place on my clothing rack of rotating staples, thanks to its unique fabrication and fit that works for many different styling scenarios.

Stacy-Ann Ellis, Assistant Editor:
Anyone who knows me knows I’m a sucker for some guy’s clothing. Something about the make, the fit, the quality and the availability speak to me. I’m convinced that there are so many gems tucked away in the men’s section of the store—too small or tight for the manly men but just right for me—while the gals knee and elbow for the last crop top on the rack. So you can imagine my delight in sampling a piece of Cult Guy’s button-up stash.

The moment I put on Cult Guy’s festive banana-leaf inspired 90210 and looked in the mirror, my confidence went through the roof. They say that when you look good, you feel good (and they ain’t lied). As a top-heavy woman, shopping for button-ups is an absolute nightmare. That second button NEVER closes. But look at God! Cult Guy’s tailored tops hug my body, but have enough stretch to close properly. The linen material is also extremely durable (no one likes flimsy shirts that can’t survive a wash). With summer AKA short-sleeve season around the corner, it’s a winner in my book.
