Jadakiss and Styles P walked aggressively down Grungy Gentleman’s runway during Fashion Houston (FH5) this week. But they weren’t there for stops and turns. The Lox nucleus performed a quick medley—“We Gonna Make It” and “Knock Yourself Out”—as GG’s models walked to their live performance.
The live element was a nice addition to the usual runway format. “Live performances on the runway are the next logical progression between fashion and music,” said 29-year-old Jace Lipstein, founder and EIC of Grungy Gentleman. “Who better to launch this innovative platform with than two hip-hop legends, Jadakiss and Styles P of The LOX? It was a perfect match and the fellas looked super fresh in our Mitchell & Ness collaboration on the catwalk.”
The veterans from Yonkers, NY have been experimenting with the culture’s new class lately. Before collaborating with GG, L-O-X gave Dej Loaf’s “Try Me” a testosterone injection. Their 4-song EP, Trinity, is available at iTunes.
