Okay, Kanye West can be a little pushy.
The rapper is making all sorts of headlines this week as his Yeezus tour headed to Australia. And in true Kanye West fashion, controversy is never too far away, with his latest onstage antic bringing him under fire. While performing “Good Life,” in Sydney West paused to ask that the entire crowd get on their feet, excluding the handicapped.
“I decided I can’t do this song, I can’t do the rest of this show until everybody stand up. Unless you got a handicap pass where you get special parking and shit. And I’ma see you if you ain’t standing up, believe me. I’m real good at that.”
Proceeding to point out members of the audience who hadn’t gotten on their feet, West turns his attention to two fans in particular. While waiting on the them to stand, the crowd began booing and chanting.
“This is the longest I’ve had to wait to do the song, it’s unbelievable,” he said. “Now if he is in a wheelchair, then it’s fine.”
Once West received confirmation that the fans were handicapped, be continued on with the show. We previously reported on a separate incident in Melbourne in which Yeezy asked fans to stand, refuting claims made by the Daily Mail, but this seems to be the show in question.
