The foodie songstress recently told UK’s Mirror after a show in Berlin, “Funnily, enough I don’t actually drink milkshakes.”
This. Changes. Everything.
But ain’t no denying how many boys were lured to the yard off the strength of her shake (read: sex appeal). The 2003 jam snagged No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Back in April, she spoke to our friends at Spin, saying that she knew what the catchy track did for the culture.
“I know what it meant, I know what it did for music and for female artists in that era,” she said. “I’m not saying I single-handedly did it, but you know it played a huge part in where music went. I’m aware of that, I don’t regret it or resent it at all, and I’ve found new fun ways to perform it and to do it and make it enjoyable for people. I don’t put too much thought into it.”
